Wake Gastroenterology provides in-office infusion services for the treatment of anemia, osteoperosis and Crohn's disease. We have nearly a decade of experience in the infusion of Remicade for patients with Crohn's disease.

 

Remicade is a genetically engineered biological agent that blocks tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha), which is considered a mediator of inflammitory response in the bowel.  Remicade is given intravenously in our office over a two hour period.  Typically patients are infused every eight weeks.
